Taking it back
I am taking it back! My bad, but I am taking it back. I gave you something you didn’t deserve, something you never had the power to preserve. I was all mixed up, feeling some way, but the power I gave you I now take away. I was created and designed in the image of God; beautiful in spirit, body, and mind. I am a masterpiece, and no one else will ever be just like me. I am not a trinket or a bobble; I will never go on sale.
You can't buy or own this work of art because I am priceless, holy, and set apart. I am taking it back! Thank you for all that you taught me, Pain, disappointment, and most of all feelings of inadequacy. It is all good; not a total waste. Now, where I want you is out of my face! With you, I learned a lesson that money couldn't buy. That day is over. I have kissed it goodbye! I will be a better listener until the day I die. I have had to watch so many minutes and days that pass.
Experience is a hard teacher, no cutting corners you see. Every moment with experience could end in a lesson in futility. I hurt you when I hurt me, cried, my family! When I choose to learn by listening, I cut down the number of casualties. Lessons all around me it’s so good to be free. Locked in the vault of my heart are the memories of you. Always taking and borrowing you are so needy everything is about you! You are just greedy. Now, I know better. I know what to do. Relationships take three people, so I am leaving you with you! I am taking it back you won’t get the chance again.
The new me is not your flavor; you are no kind of friend. True love will never abuse you, and it only puts you first. Peace out goodbye, man you are the worst! I am letting go of the drama and shame, anger, destructive behavior, and all the pain. This reality show episode has made me strong, wise, and smart. I am taking back my value, beauty, self-esteem, and especially my heart.
Read Chapter 3: Genesis 3:22-23King James Version (KJV)
22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever:
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
